As a woman who didn’t not know where to begin with a flooring project; I knew that I wanted to hire a contractor who would respect my home and perform the job with a high level of integrity.
I hired El Shaday Flooring to install laminate flooring in my family room and kitchen, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. Jorge’s communication was clear and consistent throughout the entire process from the initial consultation to installation day.
What stood out most was Jorge’s level of expertise and how well-planned the entire project was. He walked me through each step of his vision, explained the flooring process, took measurements of the rooms, provided an overview of the supplies needed to get the job done, listened to my input, and seamlessly incorporated my ideas into the plan. The result was a well-executed project that reflected both his skill and our shared vision.
Jorge and his team arrived on time and completed both rooms in about eight hours. The work was clean, efficient, and the floors turned out flawless. Jorge also went above and beyond by researching different flooring options and even accompanying me to the store to make sure we got exactly what was needed.
I am very happy with the outcome and have already scheduled him to complete the stairs. I highly recommend Jorge to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and reliable flooring contractor in the state of Virginia.

Thank you so much, Courtney, for your trust and such kind words! It was a true pleasure to complete your flooring project, and I’m very happy to know that you’re pleased with the results. Your recognition motivates us even more to keep delivering quality and professionalism. You can always count on us for future projects – it will be a joy to work with you again!
Our 20 year old kitchen was in bad need of a do-over! We have been working on it for four years with the last piece being the backsplash. We decided to go big, not just the backsplash, but to brick the entire kitchen. I received quotes through Thumbtack and based on the feedback we chose ElShaday Flooring. Jorge gave us a quote, timing, and was very confident. On day one his crew showed up on time and ready to work. They were very professional, knowledgeable, worked very fast and meticulously. This was a big order, but they kept on course and got it finished in the timing Jorge had estimated. My husband and I are very happy with the end result. We LOVE it! The comments we have been receiving from friends are all over the top. I highly recommend ElShaday Flooring, Jorge and his crew for any flooring or backsplash tiling you may need. They are truly the best!!
The guys at El Shaday flooring did a wonderful job on a recent project. We had approximately 700 ft.² of tile laid in our kitchen and living room. They were extremely professional and took the time to explain the process and how the work would go. They even came out a second time after the estimate just to make sure we understood how the process would go. They were hard-working and courteous. They made sure the area was clean each day when they were done with work. Additionally, they made sure that we had access to our kitchen area throughout most of the project, so there was a little interruption in our daily life. Their pricing was extremely competitive. And their workmanship was outstanding. I wouldn’t hesitate to have them come back to do any additional work. They did an amazing job!!!
So happy I chose El Shaday Flooring to complete the remodel job on TWO bathrooms. It was originally a Jack and Jill bath and I had it made into two separate bathrooms. George Benke lead the project and it turned out better than I'd imagined. George made recommendations that elevated the quality of work without much added expense. His team installed the shower stalls, marble tile, woodwork, marble sills and countertops. He and his crew are professionals, they arrive on time and complete the job on schedule. I will definitely use El Shaday Flooring on two upcoming renovations, a master bathroom and new kitchen.
We had our kitchen retiled by Mr. Bencke and his crew. They did a phenomenal job. I am so pleased with the quality of the work. The tile is cut impeccably, all pieces are level, grout joints are perfectly spaced, grout is smooth without a single rough spot or hole. They were on time everyday, worked diligently, answered questions, and everyone who worked at our house had pleasant attitudes to all of us. They went above and beyond in so many ways. I highly recommend El Shaday Flooring and Mr. Bencke to anyone, and we will be using him for any future flooring or tiling projects we have.
Great Experience. He completed my flooring job perfectly.
We had LVP flooring installed by the builder throughout half of our main floor and carpet in the rest. We wanted the whole level to match. We found the discontinued flooring in a warehouse in Maryland and had it shipped down. Then we just needed an installer.
We found El Shaday Flooring here on Thumbtack and they were excellent. They fully integrated our new planks to make it look like this was all installed from the beginning. We have zero thresholds now. I would certainly use and recommend them again.
El-Shaday Flooring were exceedingly professional, knowledgeable installing my LVP Flooring, very time efficient in installing my entire house except the kitchen which already has ceramic tile and on-time every morning at 8:30 am, and personable/nice. They did an exceptional job on installing my flooring. Not to mention, their price quote was reasonable. I couldn’t have found a better company to install my floors and to do a better job in installing my floors. I truly appreciate El-Shaday and his’ men for doing an exceptional job. Thank you so much!
We would highly recommend Jorge and his team’s work ethics and quality of workmanship. He was hired to remove a bathtub and convert to a tiled shower stall with a door and did an excellent job. Jorge contacted us when he and his work crew were coming and they arrived on time when scheduled. His entire work crew was very efficient and polite. They made a point to clean up after each visit and was cognitive not to track in dirt. We definitely want him to return to install carpet or vinyl flooring at a later date.
Fantastic work and a great experience! Hired to fully renovate two bathrooms. New baths are fully tiled (showers, all walls, and floor), new vanities, toilets and fixtures. It was a major endeavor (for me) but Jorge and his team listened to what I wanted and always worked to make my dream baths a reality. High quality craftmanship, communication was excellent, and the crew was always professional. Jorge is very easy to work with. Couldn't be happier with the experience and the outcome! Highly recommend.
recently had LVP (luxury vinyl plank) flooring installed by El Shaday flooring and I couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome! From the initial consultation to the final installation, their team was professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly detail-oriented.
Not only does my home look fantastic now, but I also have peace of mind knowing I chose a quality product installed by true professionals. If you’re considering new flooring, I highly recommend
Jorge was very responsive when I was searching for a tile installer for my laundry room floor. He promptly came by and provided a fair estimate and worked my job into his schedule. He also coordinated with a plumber to remove the gas water heater saving me that step. He did a great job installing the porcelain tile. He was always polite and professional and kept me continually informed. I highly recommend him and am very pleased with his work.
We had a 55 x 36 shower that needed tile installed and Jorge was very responsive. When we contacted them through Thumbtack they responded very quickly with a quote and start date.
They kept the house protected while doing work.
He and his coworker completed our job quickly and we love it!
We had received quotes from a few other companies and El Shaday was very reasonably priced.
We hope to work with El Shaday again in the near future!
Prompt and professional response, quick and flexible quote, and exceptional work. This job was completed on an emergency basis, within 24 hours. We were originally told that there may be limitations on the work that we would need to compromise on, but this was done just to help provide reasonable expectations based on our space. In actuality, all of the discussion limitations were worked around and the job is beautiful.

Jorge did a fantastic job on our challenging bathroom renovation project. He was very polite, thoughtful, and intentional when renovating our bathroom and made sure to keep us informed at every step of the way. Our job had some coordination required with some pluming work needing to be done between when the old floor was ripped up and the new floor was installed and Jorge and team were very flexible in order to make the timing work. We appreciated their quality work, would definitely use them again in the future.
El Shaday replaced our existing carpet and hardwood with vinyl plank hardwood flooring. We weren’t in the same city as our renovation, and yet, El Shaday was able to seamlessly install the new flooring. They were very communicative and sent plenty of pictures and text messages to keep us updated. The quality of the work is great. I’d recommend them for future flooring needs!

I have a rental home that had damaged carpet and I wanted to tear out old carpet and replace with flooring. Had very short window between renter moving out and new one moving in. He was able to meet my timeframe and did and amazing job. It was done in less than two days and cleaned up behind them self. I would highly recommend their business.
We hired Jorge to put in a new backsplash in the kitchen and to rip up the carpet on the staircase and replace with wood steps. We are thrilled with the results. The El Shaday team installed laminate flooring in two bedrooms and the hallway upstairs. They arrived on time and demonstrated professionalism and knowledge throughout the process. I really liked how the floor turned out and asked them to come back to do my stairs which also turned out nice.
I am so pleased with the work that Jorge and his crew did. He listened to my needs and made sure that he accommodated them. Jorge is honest, direct, and the price was more fair. He's not one of those fast talking slick contractors! I'm so grateful I chose him to do the work. Thanks Jorge!
